Little Things
Yestereday morning I was scrubbing my shower. On hands and knees, scrubbing. Yuk. Anyhow, Caden and Mattie were playing with his Matchbox cars behind me. Caden is usually pretty mean to Mattie. He is very bossy, rarely shares, and is very manipulative. Yesterday though, they were playing well together. I thought my heart might explode when out of the blue Caden said "I love you, Mattie." and she said " I luv you too, Dud." I love them both.

Oh I cannot tell you how this has moved me~
My kids came from all sorts of backgrounds, and were at odds with one another quite often in the beginning, so it just causes my heart to burst to watch them today. My sons will bring home treats for their sister, and leave her notes on the kitchen counter. I pity the soul that tries to court her, they will have to pass the big brother test.
Wonderful story, thank you!
They are both precious! Of course I would say that but...it's true! Have you thought of scraping the old caulking out of your shower and re-doing it? Just at the floor. Wish I was there to help you. What am I saying??? I need to be home doing my own! Love Love Love You
@WildWomanOfTheWest - I think maybe because my brother and I fought so fiercely and were able to get past it may be why we love each other more fiercely now. I'm glad your kiddos have found a way to get along and love each other. Love to you!
@shellisland - Momma, don'tcha know I already did that!?! Actually, I got rid of the old caulking and Wesley re-did it. Then that looked really white, so I took a toothbrush to the rest of the grout to shine it up. Shame on me for not squeeging (sp?) the shower every time I used it.
@whit1980 - What else have you done??? The garage doors? You'll be ready for that for sale sign before you know it!
Sweet.Very,very sweet.
