  • Take me out to the ballgame...

    This past weekend we went to a Ranger's game. It was my first trip to a Major League game. Mikka, Dusty, and their kiddos came and my cousins Wade, Michelle, Caleb & his girlfriend also went with us. We got to Arlington Friday nite around 11:30. Saturday we made a trip to Wally World and just hung out at the hotel to try and rest. My cousin Katie came and visited us and it was so nice to see her. We left for the game and got there just in time for the National Anthem. I had my hands full with Mattie or Caden the whole time and so I gave my camera to Mikka with instructions to use it like her own. I should've asked her to take pics of my cousins. Oh well - I'll be seeing them in a few weeks and will get some then! The game was awesome and the Rangers won. Sunday, on the way home, our truck broke down east of Abilene. We had to be towed to Abilene and stay there for the nite. Thankfully, our truck was fixed by noon on Monday and we made it home before dark. Right before the truck broke down, we were talking about what a good job of saving money we did by bringing an ice chest and picnicing...thank goodness. We're happy to be home. I'm starting to get the camper packed and ready for the family reunion. We leave next Thursday. I can HARDLY wait!

    There were three homeruns hit to centerfield...thankfully, I got to see one of them when Caden actually sat with me for an entire inning!

  • I am so glad to see that Caden got his wardrobe worked out before the first pitch was thrown! He is just so cute!!! Having issues is all part of the learning curve!!! 

    It looks like a great family night, memories were made with pictures to prove it!!! Mattie looks very content there at the ball field!!!

  • Those looked like some AMAZING seats! Now I want to go to a game! :) I think its so cool that you and Mikka and Dusty all went together. So sorry about the truck. I hope it wasn't too much to fix. But you have the best attitude in every situation it just makes me smile.

Mikka did great taking pictures - but my favorite is Wes and Mattie sleeping and of course Caden dressin himself - Well - I really loved all of them - thanks for sharin and postin - I thought for a while that we'd have to cut you off  -  hahaha - just kiddin...ilym

  • I'm finally able to get on for a sec.  I love the pics but I'm so sorry I didn't get some of your family.  I don't know where my head was-so sorry.  But I love you very, very much and I'll call you tomorrow.  Thanks for letting us tag along with you, it was an amazing trip for us.  Love you lots and lots!!!!!!

  • what pretty picures! the colors at the game are amazing. that looks like so much fun! Whit, you look fantastic! I'm glad you handed the camera over so I can see you! Mattie looks SO tiny in her daddy's arms. too cute!

    Sorry to hear about your truck breaking down. Stressful! That is cute that ya'll did picnic style dining. When I was a kid we traveled like that all the time. My parents would always drive around and look for a park so we could eat and us kids could get out and play. Everyone won! Good job Mom, you are creating good memories! LOVE YOU!

  • @elacorn - RE picnicing, it saves bucks too! I've enjoyed all of your pics. You vacay looked amazing. I'm so jealous. The girls are so pretty. There is one pic of K that makes her look just like you. Little Zoe often has your smile. I love it! I don't have a lot of free time. Wish I could just stop and call you.
